Less.jart is a wearable extension of artist Jiajia Li’s work, where each piece is thoughtfully crafted from one of her paintings — turning art into clothing with soul.

about me

I’m an artist and designer whose work exists between painting, fashion, and performance. I create original digital paintings and transform them into one-of-a-kind clothing, allowing my artwork to exist beyond a screen or a gallery wall. Alongside that, I paint self-portraits directly onto mirrors while wearing my own designs, creating a dialogue between the artwork, the clothing, and myself. I also create live acrylic portraits in about five minutes, completely freestyle and without sketches. I don’t see painting, fashion, and performance as separate disciplines—they’re simply different ways for my art to exist and connect with people.

My creative process and my inspiration? 🌖

My creative process is very intuitive. I rarely plan everything in advance because I enjoy leaving space for spontaneity. Whether I’m creating a digital painting that later becomes clothing, painting directly onto a mirror, or making a live portrait, I trust my instincts and let the work unfold naturally.

I’m inspired by people, emotions, movement, music, and everyday life. What inspires me most is the idea that art shouldn’t stay still. It can move, be worn, become part of someone’s daily life, or happen in a shared moment between artist and audience.
